About Moishe House

Moishe House provides vibrant Jewish community for young adults by supporting leaders in their 20s as they create meaningful home-based Jewish experiences for themselves and their peers. This project marks the first time that Moishe House has offered Israel-specific training to its residents and MHWOW hosts.

Robbie Gringras

Lead Educator

Robbie Gringras is a British-born Israeli living in the Galilee, working in education, performance, and writing. Since emigrating to Israel with a Literature degree from Oxford University, a teaching qualification, and his own theater company, he has trained hundreds of educational leaders in generating honest complex connections to Israel. Robbie coined the paradigm-shifting phrase “Hugging and Wrestling with Israel”, created and drives the 4HQ System of Israel Education, and has consulted and taught for the Jewish Agency, Hillel, JCRC, Jewish Education Project, URJ, NIF, AIPAC, and J-Street to name a few. His Israel education book “Stories for the Sake of Argument” will be published in May 2022. Robbie is also a successful international theater artist, whose original plays have performed globally, in Israel and on the West End. www.robbiegringras.com

Robbie originally created the Moishe House 4HQ project while working at Makom, the Israel Education Lab of the Jewish Agency for Israel.

Cassie Perez

Strategic Program Partnerships Director

Cassie Perez is Moishe House’s Strategic Program Partnerships Director. In her role, she leads our program outreach, enrollment, logistics, data tracking, stakeholder management, and communications for our current and future partnered program offerings, including 4HQ! Cassie struggled to find her place in the Jewish community growing up, but after spending a year in Israel with Masa Israel Teaching Fellows in 2019-2020, she finally felt a sense of connection to the community; so much so that she left her career as a teacher to become a Jewish professional! She spent two years working for Hillel at University of Delaware overseeing student engagement and Isarel programming before landing at Moishe House. She has a true passion for making the world more inclusive and loves helping others find their place, exploring themselves and their Jewish identity in a welcoming, compassionate, and encouraging environment.

This program is made possible through our partnership with Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies.
